Your tasks
as a Strategic Buyer , you will be responsible for the strategic management of component procurement for serial production. Your main goal will be to ensure optimal costs, highest quality, and continuity of supply, considering sustainability principles.
your tasks will include:
- independently performing procurement activities based on Material Group strategies and business plans.
- comprehensive management of the supplier base (building relationships, supply chain risk evaluation, market benchmarking, introducing and phasing out suppliers).
- securing adequate production capacity at suppliers.
- creating, developing, and maintaining Material Group strategies in collaboration with project purchasing, supplier quality departments, and other regions and brands within the group.
- global coordination of strategies and activities within the group and with other strategic alliances.
- implementing business plan activities and ensuring the achievement of set results.
- actively participating in the implementation of Material Group concepts and ensuring alignment with other key cross-functional teams.
What we expect
- fuency in English (both written and spoken) is mandatory due to the international nature of the work and contacts;
- good knowledge of Polish, German, or Swedish will be an advantage;
- driving license category B;
- university degree (technical majors: industrial engineering or engineering) and previous experience in strategic procurement (min. 2-3 years);
- results-oriented approach, analytical thinking skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a structured manner;
- ability to work long-term and proactively, with a focus on continuous process improvement and team support;
- initiative, independence in action, and a desire for professional growth within the role;
- willingness to go beyond standard responsibilities to achieve long-term and sustainable results for the company;
- positive attitude and the ability to contribute to a good team spirit, even in a fast-paced work environment.
