Management Accountant

Opis:

For one of our clients in the shipping industry we are looking for a Management Accountant .

You will be responsible for preparing accurate and complete financial statements for the Dutch, UK and Polish entities , as well as their financial analysis, together with responsibility for internal reporting and process improvement with the accounting team and assisting the director.

• 3-5 years of working experience in a similar role
  
• University degree (master’s degree), field of finance/accounting is a plus
  
• Preferred but not necessary experience in Big4 audit
  
• ACCA/CIMA or studying towards recognized accounting qualification is a plus

• Assist in preparing and reviewing accounting entries for the month-end closing process, ensuring accuracy in the general ledger.
  
• Review and approve accruals for costs, commissions, and other liabilities.
  
• Support in calculating and documenting transfer pricing within the group, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  
• Assist in preparing financial reports in accordance with statutory requirements, including reporting to national and international institutions (e.g., GUS, IRS, NBP).
  
• Ensure timeliness and quality of the month-end financial closing process, ensuring compliance with closure requirements.
  
• Assist in analyzing financial results and support group reporting activities, as well as preparing KPI metrics.
  
• Actively participate in improving and optimizing financial and accounting procedures, including the implementation of new processes and operational standards.
  
• Work closely with the team and management, supporting the development of competencies in areas such as transfer pricing, tax compliance, and financial analysis.
  
• Assist in creating and implementing internal control systems, ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  
• Prepare financial reports for management and other departments, analyze data, and help in decision-making based on financial outcomes.
  
• Support in maintaining compliance with international accounting standards, including US GAAP or UK GAAP, depending on the organization's needs.
