Position: Carrier Sales Representative
Summary: The Carrier Sales Representative is responsible for securing carrier capacity and ensuring the successful execution of freight shipments. This role focuses on building relationships with carriers, negotiating rates, and maintaining operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:

Secure capacity by covering all freight on the day of the board and pre-booking shipments for upcoming days.

Build and nurture relationships with carriers to develop a reliable network.

Negotiate competitive carrier rates while ensuring quality service.

Maintain constant communication with carriers and internal teams to address and resolve any issues.

Vet and onboard new carriers using Raven Cargo Software to ensure compliance and quality.

Accurately log and resolve operational issues in McLeod.

Provide after-hours support to address urgent shipment needs.

Identify market trends and collaborate with the team to optimize carrier strategy.

Qualifications:

Experience in carrier sales or a related role in logistics.

Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.

Familiarity with McLeod and carrier vetting processes. HWY, Carrier 411
