Our requirements
- Minimum 5-7 years of people management experience
- Minimum 5-10 years of relevant professional experience in customs, excise duties and trade compliance
- Responsibility and ownership for people and projects
- Demonstrate initiative, strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset to drive process efficiency and innovation
- Great communication skills
- Strong service excellence orientation
- Understanding of GBS roles and responsibilities
- Tax Advisor Certificate is a plus
Obowiązki:
Your responsibilities
- Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and ensure adherence to all applicable global customs regulations, trade compliance laws, and export control requirements
- Develop and Maintain Policies: Design, implement, and regularly update internal trade compliance policies, procedures, and documentation in line with international and local regulations
- Manage Import/Export Operations: Oversee daily import and export operations, ensuring timely and accurate classification, valuation, and clearance of goods
- Monitor Trade Agreements: Optimize opportunities from free trade agreements (FTAs), duty drawback programs, and customs benefits to reduce costs and improve efficiency
- Conduct Internal Audits: Perform periodic compliance audits to identify risks, improve processes, and ensure conformity with customs regulations and company policies
- Provide Employee Training: Develop and deliver training programs on customs and trade compliance topics for internal teams and external stakeholders
- Liaise with Authorities and Brokers: Act as the main point of contact with customs authorities, brokers, and freight forwarders to resolve operational or compliance issues
- Classify Products: Manage the accurate classification of products under the Harmonized System (HS) to ensure proper tariff application
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate trade compliance risks, including sanctions, embargoes, and restricted party transactions
- Define preferential origin of VELUX products: Ensures the correct origin status of products for VELUX customers
